What to Say When It Matters

Ten conversations with a man, word for word.

TEN CONVERSATIONS

Ten conversations.
Word for word.

Read one before you buy.

CONVERSATION ONE

"What are we?" — without saying those words

What he said. Nothing. That's the point. It's been months. He's in your bed, at your table, in your weekend — and nobody has said what this is.

What it means. He hasn't said it because not saying it is working for him. He has the closeness without the obligation. This isn't a man who's confused. He's a man who has exactly what he wants and isn't sure you'd stay if he said so out loud.

What to say. Don't say "what are we." It's a question that sounds like a trap even when it isn't, and he'll answer the trap instead of the question. Say what you want, then ask what he wants:

"I like this. I want it to be something — not just something that happens. What do you want it to be?"

He says "Why do we need to label it? It's good as it is." You say:

"It is good. I'm asking what it is to you."

He's just told you it's good for him as it is. That's not nothing — it's an answer.

He says "I don't know." You say:

"Okay. That's honest. Take a couple of weeks and know."

What to watch. Not his answer — the next fourteen days. A man who said yes will show it in ways you can see: he says "my girlfriend" to someone, he makes a plan that's more than a week out.

Jack Cole

The first book was what he types.
This one is what he says to your face.

Most women lose these conversations before they start. Not because they say the wrong thing — because they say too much. They arrive with a speech, he says one sentence, and twenty minutes later they're apologising for bringing it up.

So every conversation here is one line, one question, and then his silence. And the words for whatever he says next.

How you get it.

1

You pay $27, once

Right here on the site. The card form is Whop's, so your details never reach me — no password to invent.

2

The book opens

By itself, the moment the payment goes through, right there in your browser. No code to type, nothing to install.

3

It's yours to keep

Your library has a personal link that opens it on your phone, tablet or computer — one tap sends it to your own email. And there's a PDF or EPUB to download if you'd like a copy.

How long is it?
31 pages, about 7,000 words — under an hour straight through. But you'll open it at one conversation, the night before you have it.
Is it a PDF? Do I have to download anything?
Nothing to install. It opens as a web page in whatever browser you already use — and inside there's a Download as PDF button, if you'd rather keep a copy.
Can I read it on my phone?
Yes — phone, tablet or computer, whichever you like. It opens on the one you pay on. For the others, open the personal link from your library, and it stays open there after that.
What shows on my card statement?
Whop — the company that takes the payment. Not the name of the book, and not mine.
Do I need the first book?
No. They're different books about different moments — that one is what he texts, this one is what he says out loud. If you have both, they'll agree with each other, because the method is the same.
Is it for me if it's been years?
Conversation 8 is written for exactly that — the one you've been not having in a long relationship. It's one small ask and a month of watching, not marriage counselling, and it doesn't pretend to be.
What if I change phones, or lose the link?
Write to jackcoleus@proton.me from the address you paid with, and I'll send you your link the same day.
What if I don't like it?
Write to jackcoleus@proton.me within 30 days, from the address you paid with, and say refund. Every cent back, and I won't ask why.
